KL Rahul and Shubman Gill played resolute knocks on the 4th day of the 4th Test between India and England to give the visitors a fighting chance of surviving the match, ending the day on 87 and 78 respectively.
They started their partnership in a challenging situation, with India 0 for 2 after ducks from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudarshan.
This came after England ended their first innings on 669, with Ben Stokes scoring a century on Day 4.
With one day to play, India will need solid batting performances to see out the day and stand a chance of levelling the series in the last Test.
